# Everton youngster Calvert-Lewin to pen new deal

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to put pen to paper on a new deal at Everton after an impressive first season with the club.

According to an exclusive report from the [Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/05/02/everton-tie-dominic-calvert-lewin-long-term-deal/) today, the promising forward is to be rewarded for stepping up to the Premier League in such a seamless manner and will be tied down at the club for a prolonged period of time.

The 20-year-old signed in the summer in a deal worth around £1.5 million from Sheffield United and despite playing as a backup to the Premier League’s top goal scorer Romelu Lukaku throughout the course of the campaign, has impressed with some mature performances in the top flight.

Calvert-Lewin has clearly impressed first-team boss Ronald Koeman as well this season, with the Dutchman opting to give him, and many other younger players at Goodison Park, a fair chance and a positive introduction to Premier League football with the Toffees.
