# Five wingers that Everton could consider signing in the summer

Everton are [expected to spend heavily](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/everton/story/4015072/carlo-ancelotti-wants-transfer-assurances-before-agreeing-everton-deal-sources) in the summer transfer window as Carlo Ancelotti looks set to revamp his squad, following another season without silverware.

It has now been 25 years since Everton last won a trophy – the 1995 FA Cup -and with the financial resources at their disposal, that is something that the club would surely like to see change soon.

Everton may need to target a number of positions in the summer, namely centre-back and central midfield, with those positions currently either too weak in depth or quality.

However, a right-sided winger could also be considered a priority, and following Marcel Brands’ comments about the lack of depth in that position at Everton’s AGM last month ([Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/marcel-brands-explains-everton-transfer-17568853)), it is safe to assume that the Dutchman is eyeing up targets.

With that in mind, we’ve taken a look at a handful of possible options Everton could explore in the summer.
