# Fulham fans express hope that Everton will buy Seri from them

Several Fulham fans have expressed their hope that Everton will buy Jean Michael Seri from them this month.

[We covered the story yesterday](https://readeverton.com/2020/01/02/everton-make-contact-with-fulham-over-jean-michael-seri/) that claimed that the Toffees are interested in signing the 28-year old midfielder, who is currently on loan with Galatasaray on Turkey.

Fulham signed the Ivory Coast international for a club record fee of around £25million in the summer of 2018, and the midfielder left the club on loan the following summer after the Cottagers were relegated back to the Championship.

Once tipped to join Barcelona, Seri’s stint in England hasn’t gone overly well so far, but a number of fans are hoping that he can continue to ply his trade in the Premier League with Everton.

Perhaps indicating how many Fulham fans feel about Seri, a number of supporters essentially begged on Twitter for Everton to take the midfielder away from Craven Cottage.

### Read Everton Verdict

I would suspect that many Fulham fans’ memory of Jean Michael Seri has been tainted by their relegation, but I can’t speak about that for certain.

Seri undoubtedly disappointed last year, but I do think that does have to do with the level of ability around him. Should he have come into a squad with more quality, he may have found that he could prosper in his midfield role.

Whether Seri is the right man for Everton or not, I don’t think his short Fulham spell should be the complete and whole litmus test for how the Ivorian can perform in the Premier League.
