German giants enter Coleman race

Bayern Munich want to sign Seamus Coleman, according to the Daily Star.

The Bundesliga champions have reportedly joined Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign the Irish wing-back as they look to put the finishing touches to their already star-studded squads.

The 26-year-old, who has been an Everton player for almost a decade, was linked with Bayern earlier this year but nothing came of it.

The Blues reportedly rejected a bid from PSG just a few days ago, but Pep Guardiola will test the club’s resolve with a bid in the region of £18million.

Coleman is also a huge part of Martinez’s plans at Goodison and any offer from the Bavarian giants will not be entertained.

Everton have no financial need to sell any of their star players and Coleman recently stated how happy he is on Merseyside.

The Irishman has been a key component of Everton’s defence for a number of years and is one of Everton’s best ever transfers, costing just £60,000 from Sligo Rovers in 2008.
