# Lukaku dismisses Chelsea rumours

Romelu Lukaku says he is not thinking about the prospect of leaving Everton in order to return to Chelsea.

According to a report from [Football London](https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/transfer-news/evertons-romelu-lukaku-refuses-rule-12470660), Lukaku says he’s focused on succeeding with [Everton](https://readeverton.com/) for at least the remainder of the season.

Lukaku was a summer target for the Blues but were priced out of a deal with [Everton](https://readeverton.com/) demanding too much for the club’s former striker.

> I’m just focused on the season. I’m not really thinking anything about it \[Chelsea\]. I’m focused with this team. Whatever you guys write, you guys write. For me I’m not thinking about it.

The Belgian forward has been linked with a dramatic return to Stamford Bridge with Diego Costa’s long-term future up in the air.

Costa will reportedly leave Chelsea in the summer after a row with Antonio Conte and his coaching stuff.

Lukaku joined Everton permanently back in 2014 for £28 million but you could expect the Toffees to ask for at least double that to part ways with him now.
