Martinez set for talks with Kenwright and Moshiri

Everton manager Roberto Martinez is set for ‘crunch talks’ with Bill Kenwright and Farhad Moshiri after a poor run of form and growing fan unrest, according to Paul Brown of the Daily Star.

The report says his position isn’t currently under threat as the Blues are still in with a chance of F.A Cup glory, but the last two seasons of predominantly below-par league form will not have escaped the attention of Kenwright or new major shareholder Moshiri.

A full season review will not happen until the end of the campaign and Martinez will get the opportunity to outline his potential future plans at Goodison Park after Wednesday night’s clash with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Reports emanating from Spain suggest that the Catalonian is on Valencia’s radar, should they not bring in Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini.

The Spanish outfit are looking for a new manager after Gary Neville’s disastrous spell at the Mestalla, and Martinez is believed to be a candidate for the job.
