# Mina not training at Barcelona as move edges closer

Everton and Manchester United target Yerry Mina was not involved in first-team training at Barcelona on Tuesday morning as he appears to be edging closer to a move away from the club.

[Marca report](https://www.marca.com/futbol/barcelona/2018/08/07/5b6953c846163f074d8b4576.html) that the Colombian was due to be involved in training, but he has not reported, with the club said to be unaware of any potential injuries that could explain his absence.

It is yet to be seen if this is being considered as some form of ‘strike’ from Mina, but if nothing else it shows that a deal is perhaps edging closer.

Mina is being heavily linked with moves to Everton, United and even Ligue 1 outfit Lyon, with all three teams keen to sign the player.

The Colombian is not part of Barcelona’s plans this season is expected to be sold this summer.

Everton have been in the market for a central defender throughout the summer after letting Ashley Williams leave the club on loan.
