Mirallas could look elsewhere in January

Everton winger Kevin Mirallas has said he will look to find a move away from Goodison Park in the upcoming January transfer window if he fails to get a look in at first team football in the next couple of months.

Mirallas, 28, has featured just six times for Everton so far this season from mainly cameo appearances, but has failed to make a goal or an assist in the league so far.

The Belgian wide-man was reportedly keen to move on from Everton in the summer, to seek pastures new in Champions League football, but a move never really materialised and he signed a new three-year-deal at Goodison Park.

Speaking to HLN Plus, Mirallas explained how he wants to leave Everton in order to ensure that he has a place in Belgium’s 23-man-squad for Euro 2016 next year.

I’ll be asking the right questions in January, because if I do not play, it’s hard to win a place in the 23 for the European Championships. I now try especially to be a starter at Everton. If I get it, I see no problem.

However, Mirallas seemed happy enough to stay at Everton for longer than the January transfer window, but only if he could have more game time for The Blues.

I see at this point the future in my club, but if I in January I’m still in the same situation, something will have to happen. I have not yet talked to my agent. I concentrate fully on Everton.

The winger has scored 21 goals in 94 competitive games for Everton since joining in 2012 from Greek giants Olympiakos.
