# Moyes linked with shock Everton return

Former Everton manager David Moyes has been linked with a dramatic return to Goodison Park with Ronald Koeman’s future in doubt.

[The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/david-moyes-lined-up-sensational-11385759) report that Moyes feels he has unfinished business at the club he left for Manchester United.

The news may come as a surprise to Everton fans, but the former manager Sunderland and Real Sociedad boss is still highly thought of at Goodison Park.

Pressure is growing on current manager Koeman after a disappointing start to the season, despite spending heavily over the summer.

After spending £140 million rebuilding the Everton squad to make up for the lose of Romelu Lukaku, the Toffees were expected to challenge for a place in Europe.

Everton currently sit 16th in the Premier League table, level on points with Stoke, who are 18th ahead of Sunday’s game against Arsenal.

Chairman Bill Kenwright remains in close contact with Moyes despite the Scotsman leaving for Old Trafford back in 2013.
