# Niasse being eyed up by Cardiff City

Cardiff City are interested in Everton forward Oumar Niasse, and are ready to rival other Premier League clubs for his signature, according to [Wales Online.](https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-citys-pursuit-liverpool-star-15628098?_ga=2.173630822.43079752.1546628651-380439992.1516921091)

The Senegal international has been linked away from Goodison Park in recent weeks, with reports yesterday suggesting Crystal Palace were readying an offer of £7million for the former Lokomotiv Moscow man.

Despite Everton finding goals hard to come by from their striking options this season, Niasse has barely featured under Marco Silva, with the man who brought him to Hull on loan in 2017 deeming him surplus to requirements.

Now the Bluebirds are said to be interested in signing the 28-year old, with Neil Warnock said to be an admirer.

Cardiff were interested in Nantes forward Emiliano Sala, however a move for him now looks unlikely to go ahead, so Warnock may turn to another option in Niasse to strengthen his forward options.

Everton will demand £8million to sanction the sale of Niasse, with the Toffees keen to recoup as much of the £13.5million they paid Lokomotiv in 2016.
