# Nine players that Carlo Ancelotti could axe as Everton boss

Carlo Ancelotti reportedly sat down with Farhad Moshiri to discuss the club’s transfer plans and their budget before committing himself to the Everton job.

Despite having spent over £110million in the summer, the Toffees are currently 16th in the Premier League table, just three points above the relegation zone.

Everton’s still have grand ambitions to eventually break through the glass ceiling of the top six, with Moshiri determined to appoint the right man to lead the club back into European competition.

Ancelotti is likely to want to impose himself on the playing squad in January by making a raft of changes, both in who comes into Goodison Park and who is on their way out.
