# Onyekuru discusses prospect of Everton return

Everton striker Henry Onyekuru has been discussing the prospect of returning to the club in the January transfer window.

The Nigerian youngster is currently out on loan with Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht, and has been linked with a surprise recall, as Everton struggle in the Premier League.

Onyekuru was signed from Eupen in the summer after a blistering season in Belgium, before he was then loaned out to Anderlecht in order to help him gain more first-team experience.

Speaking to Belgian media, as quoted by [Goal](https://www.goal.com/en/news/henry-onyekuru-unsure-of-evertons-january-return/1lh6df8k7zgon1n8sqaxt62349), Onyekuru admitted that a return to Goodison Park in the mid-season transfer window could be possible.

> I follow the path that is being drawn up for me. Wherever I go after New Year, I do not know either. Whether Everton has a contractual option to get me in the winter? Everything is possible. I’m their property, they decide.

> I have never said that I’m sure I’ll leave Anderlecht. The most important thing is here and now. I’m happy and everything is going well. What’s happening in winter, we’ll see.

The 20-year-old has performed well so far this season. He has hit the net on seven occasions for Anderlecht, and has been involved in 16 of their games this term.

Everton are currently without a manager following the dismissal of Ronald Koeman earlier this week, and sit in 19th place on the Premier League table.
