# Opposition View: Sunderland

Greetings from [Read Sunderland!](https://readsunderland.com/) I’m Chris Sparks here to inform all you Everton fans of what to expect when Sam Allardyce brings his side to Goodison Park for this Sunday’s televised clash.

**What can you expect from Sunderland?**

Confidence and positive play. Big Sam knows that we must push on from last week’s win and with Everton playing mid-week, Sunderland will be looking to play on the break and exploit tired legs.

**What do you make of Everton’s season so far?**

A lot better than last season. My step-father is an Everton fan so I have a soft spot for the club and I hope you do well (just not on Sunday).

**Key Player:** Adam Johnson

AJ was the derby hero again, if he can drown out the abuse from the stands with some decent form then Sunderland have a very good player on their hands.

**Predicted Line-up:**

Pantilimon, Jones, Brown, Coates, Yedlin, Cattermole, M’Vila, Lens, Johnson, Defoe, Fletcher.

**Read Sunderland‘s Prediction:**

I’m going for a score draw. Sunderland will be full of confidence, but Everton have superb attacking quality in Lukaku and Barkley.

Everton 2-2 Sunderland.
