# Pickford denies that Everton are in a relegation fight

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford says he knows what it is like to fight for survival in the Premier League and believes that the Toffees are not in danger of dropping into the Championship.

As reported by the [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-goalkeeper-jordan-pickford-insists-13854521), the former Sunderland shot-stopper has weighed in on the club’s performances this season, which has left them sitting 18th in the Premier League.

With just two wins from 10 this season, talk of relegation has started among supporters and pundits.

> We are not a side that will be in the bottom three. It’s a totally different scenario for myself from last season. I think one win will get us to 13th or something in the league. That one win can become back to back wins. That is where the confidence grows and it starts Sunday.

Everton welcome Watford to Goodison Park on Sunday in what is a great opportunity for the club to kick-start their season.

The Hornets are without a win in two and could be low on confidence ahead of their trip to Merseyside.

Pickford, a summer signing from Sunderland, has been ever-present for Everton this season after joining the club in a deal worth £30 million.
