# Everton Predicted XI: Newcastle (H)

Carlo Ancelotti’s [Everton](https://readeverton.com/2021/01/28/everton-fans-loved-club-tweet-james-rodriguez/) will be hoping they can right the wrongs of the recent past against an out-of-form Newcastle side which has [failed to win](https://www.skysports.com/newcastle-united-results) in their last 11 games.

The Toffees [lost the reverse fixture](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50875689) 2-1 when they made the trip to St James’ Park three months ago, but today’s clash at Goodison Park is a contest between a high-flying Everton side and a desperate Newcastle outfit.

Magpies defender Fabian Schar has [recently admitted](https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/fabian-schar-admits-confidence-is-low-at-newcastle-following-a-poor-run-of-form-1611765180000) that confidence is low in the squad as they attempt to halt an alarming slide towards a relegation battle.

Conversely, Everton are unbeaten in their [last four games](https://www.skysports.com/everton-results) in all competitions and enjoyed a [further run of success](https://www.skysports.com/everton-results) before their 1-0 defeat against West Ham on New Year’s Day.
