# Rooney to meet with Koeman following recent charge

Everton manager Ronald Koeman is to hold a meeting with Wayne Rooney following his recent drink-driving charges, according to the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4847290/Wayne-Rooney-summoned-crisis-meeting-Koeman.html).

It was revealed on Friday that the former England international had been arrested after being caught driving whilst under the influence of alcohol, leading to much controversy.

Rooney has started life at Everton well. Since being back at Goodison Park, he has established himself as a key part of Koeman’s plans and has already contributed with two well-taken goals in three Premier League games this season.

The former Manchester United star is set to be reintegrated into the Everton squad as normal when the international break ends, but it’s looking as though Koeman will hold some stern talks with the experienced forward in light of his recent actions.

It’s claimed by the Daily Mail that Koeman held a thorough talk with Rooney prior to his arrival at Everton, warning him over the expectations in regards to lifestyle.
