# Sandro struggling to adapt to English football says Unsworth

Summer signing Sandro Ramirez is struggling to adapt to English football, according to caretaker Everton boss David Unsworth.

The Spaniard has not been involved in the last four matchday squads with Everton even starting the game against Lyon with no out-and-out striker.

As per the [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sandro-found-it-difficult-unsworth-13855709), Unsworth has confirmed that the striker is fit and Sandro is available for selection for this weekend’s game against Watford.

> I don’t want to talk about individuals, but what I’ve seen in my training sessions I’m able to pick a squad and a team that I feel can do a job. Sandro has been fine, he’s been training and he’s available for Sunday.

> I can only comment with the fresh eyes of what I’ve seen. It’s difficult when you’ve come from a different country and a different style to fit into the British game, especially with a team that have not been performing.

> Sandro is a quality player and can score goals, and I’m sure he’ll get his opportunity very soon.

The stand-in Toffees manager has left the former Malaga man out of the three matches that he has took charge of.

Sandro joined the club in the summer for just £5.2 million, a price that was considered something of a coup at the time, but the forward is yet to find the back of the net.

Reports in Spain recently have linked with Sandro with an early return to La Liga, where he scored 14 league goals last season.
