# Schneiderlin in exit negotiations – Should the Blues let him leave?

Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is in advanced talks with Galatasaray, according to Yahoo Sports FR journalist Manu Lonjon ([via GFFN](https://twitter.com/GFFN/status/1159062025974292481)).

The Frenchman has frequently been linked with moves away from Goodison Park, having seemingly fallen down the pecking order under Marco Silva, having only made just 14 Premier League appearances last season.

Reports earlier this week had suggested that a loan deal could be sanctioned if Everton found a replacement for the 29-year old, with Abdoulaye Doucouré heavily linked.

Despite reports now claiming that Everton have abandoned their pursuit of the Watford midfielder, it appears Schneiderlin is moving closer to the exit door, although the report doesn’t reveal whether this deal would also be a loan.

### Read Everton Verdict

Schneiderlin’s presence hasn’t been felt among the Everton squad quite like it did when he initially signed for quite some while. Despite putting in a solid performance on the odd occasion, Schneiderlin has fallen out of favour and is unlikely to ever work his back into the starting line-up.

While I think Everton could certainly do worse than keep the Frenchman around, with the former Manchester United man offering a different style of play to Andre Gomes, Fabian Delph and JP Gbamin, it could be a good opportunity to let him leave.

Tom Davies will be itching for first-team minutes this season and if Morgan will only serve to decrease that opportunity, it could be for the benefit of Everton long-term to let him leave.

If it is a loan agreement, that works fine, but if it is a permanent solution then hopefully Everton stand firm over a fee that reflects Morgan’s talent on the pitch.
