# Sidibe reportedly ‘unhappy’ with his Everton situation

Djibril Sidibe is ‘unhappy’ with his Everton situation, which could lead to Monaco ending his loan agreement early, according to reports.

There have been reports over the past couple of weeks about Everton’s supposed disappointment in Sidibe’s progress at Goodison Park, and the defender’s desire to play more minutes.

The World Cup winning defender had been restricted to just two Carabao Cup appearances earlier this season, but following Seamus Coleman’s red card against Burnley before the international break, Sidibe has finally won league game time.

The 27-year old came off the bench against Burnley, before starting and impressing as the Toffees beat West Ham last weekend.

However, [according to Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/milan-a-destra-serve-la-svolta-dagli-obiettivi-in-francia-all-oc-77386), Sidibe’s ‘complicated’ situation at Goodison Park could lead parent club Monaco to re-call him and find him a new club, with the player described as ‘unhappy’ on Merseyside.

AC Milan are said to be interested in the right-back, ahead of doing a potential deal in January.

At this point it very much feels like Italian media are trying to push through a move to Milan for the defender, because their claims don’t seem to make much sense.

Calciomercato claim that Sidibe has only played 121 minutes in the Premier League this season, but those have come in the previous two games, and he is expected to accrue even more in the coming weeks.

If Sidibe really is unhappy, then he should definitely go in January, because he clearly doesn’t have any patience or will to fight for his spot in the starting line-up. However, I’m more inclined to believe that this is paper talk trying to find an issue where one does not exist.

Sidibe impressed against West Ham, and hopefully he’ll retain his place for the game against Brighton. With more minutes, Sidibe can have no qualms, unless this situation stems from a deeper issue that the Frenchman has at the club.
