# Silva confirms Tosun to miss West Ham clash – no real loss

Marco Silva has confirmed that Cenk Tosun is unavailable to face West Ham on Saturday.

Unconfirmed reports on social media had suggested this week that the striker may have picked up an injury while on international duty with Turkey.

Everton face the Hammers at Goodison Park and Marco Silva will be desperate to get his side back on track after four consecutive Premier League losses.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Silva confirmed that the Turk would miss this weekend’s game. Silva said:

> Like you know, JP \[Gbamin\] will be out long-term. Cenk Tosun as well, he came from the national team with a small issue in the muscle in his groin.
>
> Nothing special, not too long, but will be out of tomorrow’s match.

The 28-year old was unlikely to play anyway, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Moise Kean both preferred under Marco Silva.

The Everton boss will now hope that his current group of players remain injury free, with JP Gbamin, Fabian Delph and Tosun all already missing.
