Everton team news

Christian Nørgaard remains Everton’s only confirmed absentee. Moyes revealed on Friday that the summer signing has still not returned to grass training, although the hope is that he will be available after the international break.

Jack Grealish, meanwhile, could make his first start since returning to Everton. Moyes said the winger is a player who needs matches and admitted it would be “incredibly exciting” to have him in the starting line-up.

James Garner is available, giving Moyes another midfield option alongside Harrison Armstrong, Hayden Hackney and Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Tottenham team news

James Maddison is available again after recovering from the shoulder problem which has kept him out since the opening weekend of the season. Mykhailo Mudryk will miss the game after suffering an ankle injury, while Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons also remain unavailable.

Mohammed Kudus is getting closer to being ready to start after making substitute appearances in Tottenham’s last two games.
