# Tottenham fans don’t believe Pochettino’s starlet claims

Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he is willing to trust Tottenham’s starlets over summer signings, according to reports.

Spurs spent hefty transfer fees on Tanguy Ndombele and Ryan Sessegnon this summer, while they also signed Giovani Lo Celso on a season-long loan with the option to buy.

While all three players set expectations high among the club’s fan base, they have not all been used frequently so far this season. Ndombele has played a fair few times in the Premier League, but Lo Celso has found minutes harder to come by, while Sessegnon still waits for his debut.

With talented starlets like Oliver Skipp, Troy Parrott and Japhet Tanganga at the club, Pochettino has plenty of promising players at his disposal too, and according to [Daily Hotspur on Twitter](https://twitter.com/Daily_Hotspur/status/1189162751039553537?s=20) (who cite David Ornstein), the Argentine coach believes they could help turn the club’s form around.

Everton host Spurs this weekend and with Marco Silva hoping to get his side back on track himself, he will hope that the London side don’t find a remedy to their poor form just yet.

The Toffees have gone through a poor run of their own as of late, and Silva will be counting on every advantage to help him get one over Pochettino’s side.

Reacting on Twitter to Pochettino’s claim, many Spurs fans seemingly doubt his claim that youth will be utilised in the Premier League.

### Read Everton Verdict

Given that the Tottenham trio haven’t played that much for Spurs, I don’t know a great deal about them, other than that they’re fairly highly regarded in London.

On paper, any one of their inclusions would reduce the quality in Spurs’ line-up, although given how inconsistent and poor Tottenham are right now, maybe that’s not what we want.

Everton absolutely have to take their opportunities against Spurs. I feel like chances will definitely come, but the Blues will be made to pay if they don’t take advantage.
