# Virals: Everton Ace Niels Nkounkou Spotted in Leicester Shirt

Everton prospect Niels Nkounkou has been confusingly spotted in a Leicester City shirt in a video uploaded on Snapchat.

One Everton fan, @CeeJay\_EFC, shared a screenshot of Nkounkou’s Snapchat story on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/CeeJay_EFC/status/1404075579255762947)on Sunday.

Fortunately, the accompanying comments to the Tweet seem to indicate that it is the jersey of his close friend Wesley Fofana who has just concluded his debut season with Leicester.

The young France centre-back won the FA Cup in May and appears to be spending time in the off-season with Nkounkou.

The 20-year-old left-back joined last summer on a free transfer from Ligue 1 side Marseille and has [made six senior appearances to date.](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/niels-nkounkou/profil/spieler/591193)

Fans can breathe a collective sigh of relief in the knowledge that the donning of the shirt was not meant to be inherently provocative to fans.

Nkounkou still firmly remains an Everton player and he was simply enjoying a carefree moment with a dear friend.

However, posting himself in a Leicester shirt so carelessly on social media was only going to cause confusion and uproar as eagle-eyed fans ogle the unusual choice of attire.

It’s certainly an odd thing to see, though there appears to be no more significant meaning behind the social media faux-pas.
