# Virals: Everton ‘interested’ in Borussia Monchengladbach star Marcus Thuram

[Everton](https://readeverton.com/2021/10/14/virals-everton-fan-produces-popular-concept-kit-design-for-22-23/) are reportedly ‘interested’ in Borussia Monchengladbach forward [Marcus Thuram](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/10/28/liverpool-were-interested-in-signing-thuram-during-the-summer/).

Blues’ boss Rafa Benitez is believed to be in the market for [additional attacking options](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-squad-summer-transfer-window-21529754) and January moves could be on the horizon.

According to a report from Italian outlet [Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/marcus-thuram-non-c-e-solo-l-inter-99354), as cited by [Everton FC News](https://twitter.com/NilSatisNews)on Twitter, Thuram could be on the list of targets.

The report cites competition from Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund for the 24-year-old [capped on four occasions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-thuram/nationalmannschaft/spieler/318528/verein_id/3377) at senior level by France.

Following [18 goals and 15 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-thuram/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/318528) over the previous two Bundesliga seasons, Thuram has only recently returned to the fold in Germany following a serious knee injury.

Signing another forward to [supplement](https://www.evertonfc.com/teams/first-team) Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Salomon Rondon would appear to be a priority at Goodison Park in light of recent injuries.

Young, talented and most importantly, versatile, Thuram would be [ideally suited](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/296322/Show/Marcus-Thuram) to Benitez’ style of play so far at Everton.
