# Virals: Everton make ‘contact’ regarding Aaron Ramsey transfer

[Everton](https://readeverton.com/2021/12/09/pundit-believes-no-nonsense-rafa-benitez-will-shun-lucas-digne/) have reportedly made ‘contact’ with Juventus over the possibility of signing midfielder [Aaron Ramsey](https://readeverton.com/2021/12/09/virals-everton-initiate-contact-for-aaron-ramsey-transfer/).

The Toffees have been [heavily linked](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-plan-january-amid-aaron-22128909) with the 30-year-old in recent weeks as Rafa Benitez attempts to bolster the squad in the upcoming January transfer window.

Ramsey is [out of favour](https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aaron-ramsey-arsenal-transfer-everton-20554406) in Turin and a mid-season departure would seemingly suit all parties.

Italian journalist Mirko Di Natale took to [Twitter](https://twitter.com/_Morik92_/status/1468983656161157128?s=20) on Thursday (December 9) to claim that the Blues had reached out to the Serie A titleholders.

Di Natale stated that Everton had initiated contact in the ‘last few hours’ for the [71-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aaron-ramsey/nationalmannschaft/spieler/50057/verein_id/3864) ace but ‘other Premier League clubs’ are also keen.

So far this season Ramsey – who was hailed as [‘brilliant’](https://twitter.com/GaryLineker/status/1405204498058993671) by Gary Lineker during the Euros – has made [five appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aaron-ramsey/leistungsdaten/spieler/50057) for Juventus.

### READ EVERTON VERDICT

Valued at £9million and under contract until 2023 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aaron-ramsey/marktwertverlauf/spieler/50057)), signing the Welshman would still represent an expensive outlay for the club.

However, at the right price, recent [displays for Wales](https://www.sofascore.com/player/aaron-ramsey/23571) are proof that Ramsey still has plenty to offer at the top level and Everton would benefit from the capture.

Capable of playing in a [variety of midfield roles](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aaron-ramsey/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/50057), the ex-Arsenal man would add much-needed creativity to a midfield department somewhat lacking at times.
