# Virals: Everton striker Salomon Rondon wanted by Sivasspor

[Everton](https://readeverton.com/2021/11/18/virals-everton-named-as-interested-club-in-nicolas-pepe-pursuit/) striker Salomon Rondon is reportedly being targetted by Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor for a possible January transfer.

The 32-year-old only [joined the Toffees on a free transfer](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/salomon-rondon/transfers/spieler/80197) in the summer having been released by Dalian Pro in China.

Despite being afforded multiple opportunities to feature due to injuries to Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison, Rondon has [struggled to have the desired impact](https://www.sofascore.com/player/salomon-rondon/35532) at Goodison Park.

Now according to a report from [Fanatik](https://www.fanatik.com.tr/sivasspordan-salomon-rondon-bombasi-2251649), as cited by [The Toffee Blues](https://twitter.com/EvertonNewsFeed) on Twitter, the Venezuelan is of interest in Turkey.

The report claims that that the [83 times capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/salomon-rondon/nationalmannschaft/spieler/80197/verein_id/3504) ace’s agent has informed Sivasspor of the possibility of sanctioning a departure from the Merseyside club.

So far this season Rondon has [failed to score in eight appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/salomon-rondon/leistungsdaten/spieler/80197) across all competitions for Rafa Benitez’ side.

January could also spell the end of another disappointing spell as a Blue for fellow striker Cenk Tosun as [NTV Spor](https://www.ntvspor.net/foto-galeri/ocak-ayinda-sov-basliyor-3-transfer-birden-6194c0bd8b32628e14d47b56/9) claims that the 30-year-old outcast is ‘considering’ his future.

### READ EVERTON VERDICT

Ultimately the Everton careers of both [soon-to-be out-of-contract](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/vergleich/spielervergleich/statistik/def/spieler/45671&80197) frontmen have proven to be rather disastrous thus far.

Whilst nobody expected the [£4.5million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/salomon-rondon/marktwertverlauf/spieler/80197) Rondon to play a leading role; when called upon the target man has fallen way short of the level required.

As the Toffees’ are [linked](https://www.teamtalk.com/southampton/southampton-join-race-to-sign-prolific-brazilian-striker-hunted-by-leeds) with a move for FC Basel star Arthur Cabral, cashing in on both Rondon and Tosun would make perfect sense.
