# Virals: Fabrizio Romano confirms ‘huge chances’ for Everton target to move

Reported [Everton](https://readeverton.com/2021/10/21/virals-everton-defender-yerry-mina-proposed-to-ac-milan/) target [Donny van de Beek](https://readeverton.com/2021/10/07/pundit-tips-everton-to-land-donny-van-de-beek-in-january/) is believed to have ‘huge chances’ of leaving Manchester United in January.

The 24-year-old midfielder has struggled at Old Trafford ever since arriving from Ajax for £35million ([BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53977831)).

Heavily [linked](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/van-de-beek-everton-transfer-21491195) with a loan move to Goodison Park in the summer, the Dutchman has continued to hold mainly a watching brief in Manchester.

Now according to reputable journalist [Fabrizio Romano](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1451193481905336332?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1451193481905336332%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fd-10355199163190451404.ampproject.net%2F2110082201002%2Fframe.html) on Twitter, there is a strong possibility Van de Beek could leave the club in January.

This comes after a report from [Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/inzaghi-sogna-il-regalo-a-centrocampo-il-tuttofare-barella-sugge-50279) claimed that the player’s agent, Guido Albers, is trying to arrange a move for his client.

Capped on [19 occasions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/donny-van-de-beek/nationalmannschaft/spieler/288255/verein_id/3379) by Holland at the senior level, the talented midfielder scored [41 times and provided 34 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/donny-van-de-beek/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/288255) in 175 outings for boyhood club Ajax.

There can be no doubt Van de Beek has been [frozen out](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/donny-van-de-beek/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/288255) in Manchester having arrived with rightful furore.

Somewhat in need of a platform to kickstart a [once-promising career](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/donny-van-de-beek/erfolge/spieler/288255) again, Everton under Rafa Benitez would be well placed to offer the Dutchman a place to do so.

Valued at £22.50million and under contract at Old Trafford until 2025 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/donny-van-de-beek/marktwertverlauf/spieler/288255)), a loan move with a view to buy would be a no-brainer for the Toffees.
