# Walcott declared fit to face Liverpool on Wednesday

Marco Silva has revealed that Theo Walcott is fit to feature against Liverpool on Wednesday if he is selected.

The England international missed out on Everton’s 2-1 loss to Leicester on Sunday, where an extremely late goal via VAR saw the Blues suffer their second successive Premier League defeat.

Everton now face Liverpool at Anfield, before hosting Chelsea on Saturday, and Walcott’s return will be a much needed boost.

Previously regarded as surplus to requirements at Everton by the fan base at the very least, Walcott has seen himself undergo a resurgence this season, playing well in royal blue on a number of occasions.

While he may not be able to help the Blues overcome their successful and in-form rivals on Wednesday, the club do face a better chance at winning with more options available to them.

In other news, [Everton will miss both Seamus Coleman and Fabian Delph](https://readeverton.com/?p=35553) for the clash on Merseyside.

### Read Everton Verdict

Walcott has improved so much this season, and while he hasn’t quite reached the level that he once maintained at Arsenal, he can now be counted as an offensive asset.

I can’t see how this current Everton side beat Liverpool on Wednesday, but I do feel more confident having more offensive options in the match-day squad.

Between Walcott and Bernard’s returns, Marco Silva faces pressure to decide on which wide men to utilise against the Reds, with Richarlison and Alex Iwobi also expected to playa roe.
