This morning, Roberto Martinez announced that both Leighton Baines and Muhamed Besic would return to training today.
Muhamed Besic and Leighton Baines are training with the team today for the first time, even though maybe it is just a little to early for them to be in a position to be selected for the weekend.

This is a massive boost for the team as Baines has been unavailable for selection since picking up an ankle injury in training shortly before the start of the current season, whilst Muhamed Besic’s recovery will add much needed bite to Everton’s midfield.

Roberto Martinez also announced that Republic of Ireland full back Seamus Coleman is a doubt for this weekends fixture against Sunderland. Martinez said:
From the squad we had at Arsenal, the only concern is Seamus Coleman. He couldn’t be involved on Tuesday and he’s a huge question mark for the weekend at the moment.
Martinez also said that Coleman is suffering from a stomach bug so he should recover and be back in the first team soon.
Steven Pienaar and Tony Hibbert are recovering well from their respective injuries and are not too far away from a return to the squad, but they won’t be risked for Sunday’s clash at Sunderland, and apart from Coleman and Phil Jagielka, who picked up a nasty injury at Arsenal, there are no fresh injury worries.
