According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Everton are in the race to sign Argentine attacking midfielder Ever Banega.
Banega, 27, is currently a key player at Sevilla but his contract is up at the end of the current season and is yet to negotiate a new contract with the Andalusia based side.

If Ever Banega does not negotiate a new contract before the 1st of February he will be free to engage in negotiations with whichever clubs he likes.
Unfortunately, Everton are not the only side interested in the Argentine international. It has been reported that Manchester United and Italian giants Juventus and Roma are interested in signing the former Valencia schemer.

Despite all of this speculation, it is also reported that Sevilla are working hard to retain the talents of one of their star players.
Signing Ever Banega would be a huge boost for Roberto Martinez’ side, he has 35 Argentina caps and has represented many of the worlds most famous clubs such as Boca Juniors, Valencia and Sevilla.
He has also won many titles such as the Copa Libertadores, Copa Del Rey and The Europa League.
A player of Banega’s pedigree would be a huge sign of intent from Everton FC, David Moyes was on the brink of signing him in 2009 on loan as cover for the injured Mikel Arteta. Here’s hoping we see Banega on the same side as fellow countryman Ramiro Funes Mori next season.
