According to the BBC, a fifteen-year-old Carlisle fan has been arrested for racist remarks towards the Everton players after the opening goal in Everton’s 3-0 FA-Cup win at Brunton Park on Sunday. He was held on suspicion of racially aggravated harassment after the match and was later released on bail, pending further inquiries.
Cumbria Police has released a statement saying that they were working closely with Carlisle United to identify any other suspects.
The goalscorers on the day were Arouna Kone, Aaron Lennon and Ross Barkley as Everton easily swept Carlisle away in one of their first home games in months, following the massive floods in Cumbria recently.

The Toffees travel down to Bournemouth in a fortnight’s time for the fifth round of the Cup and will be hoping to do better than the infuriating 3-3 draw the Blues and the Cherries played out in November.
But before the fifth round, Everton face Newcastle, Stoke and West Brom and will be hoping for nine points to put them back in the fight for Europe.
