Everton are willing to pay Ronald Koeman double what Southampton have offered in his new deal, according to the Mirror.
The Dutchman has been linked to the Merseyside job since Roberto Martinez’ sacking but does not seem convinced on the move. The south-coast club qualified for Europa League football next season after finishing sixth while Everton had to settle for 11th after yet another poor season. It is said that Southampton are willing to pay Koeman £2.5million annually while Everton are willing to pay him a staggering £6million.

With new majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri at the club, the hierarchy clearly feel as though they can use their new found wealth to benefit their managerial hunt. Koeman is thought to be the Toffees number one choice, prompting them to offer twice what Southampton are willing to pay him in an attempt to convince the manager to take the helm at Goodison.
Other candidates include Frank De Boer who has made no secret of his desire to manage the club, with his brother publicly declaring the former Ajax boss’ desire to join.
David Moyes has also been linked to the club but fans are reluctant to believe that the club would make the decision to appoint the Scotsman due to his recent managerial record.
It is also thought that the club are looking to appoint a manager within the next 10 days, with either Koeman, De Boer or even Moyes looking the only possible candidates at the moment.
