Ross Barkley will find out this afternoon if he makes the cut for Roy Hodgson’s 23-man Euro 2016 squad.
The midfielder is at risk of losing his spot in the squad due to his dip in form towards the end of the season but also due to reportedly being overweight after his physique was questioned. The Englishman had been bulking up in the gym since Christmas but some question the shape he is in.

Now Barkley, among others, are left sweating ahead of today’s deadline as they look to make the trip to France next month.
Although from the outside it looks a possibility that Barkley will lose his place, Hodgson knows better than anyone what the Wavertree-born Evertonian is capable of after handing him his debut at the age of 19 and handing him 22 caps since then.
Ross is only one of two Everton players looking to make the cut, although, John Stones looks the most likely of the two to get the call. Phil Jagielka was not called up to the provisional 26-man squad after struggling with injuries towards the end of the season, while Hodgson decided there were better alternatives at left-back than Leighton Baines after an injury-hit season.
