Everton have made an approach to Leicester City asking to take their joint-assistant manager Steve Walsh and give him the role of director of football at Goodison Park, as per a report from John Percy of The Telegraph.
Walsh, who was one of the men behind Leicester’s recruitment of the likes of N’Golo Kante, Riyad Mahrez, and Jamie Vardy, has not travelled to Austria with the Premier League champions as they begin their pre-season training camp.

New majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has made it clear that he wants to bring a new, European-style set up to Everton, and that includes appointing a director of football to help Ronald Koeman with player recruitment.
Everton tried, unsuccessfully, to sign Monchi from Sevilla and had also been linked with a move to bring in Marc Overmars into the role, but it appears that they’ve identified Walsh as the man they want.
If Everton do want to take Walsh, they will have to pay compensation to Leicester.
