The former Leicester man is regarded highly in the Premier League, having a hand in the transfers of Vamie Vardy, N’Golo Kante, Riyad Mahrez and Danny Drinkwater for nominal fees.

The champions were reluctant to let Walsh go without a fight, and originally rejected Everton’s approach. After the Englishman stated that he would like to speak to the Toffees and that he was keen on the job, Leicester accepted a compensation package thought to be worth £2million.
As director of football, Walsh will be tasked with assisting Koemaun in terms of transfers and scouting, making his transition into the club easier. With the role finally filled, there is likely to be a breakthrough in transfer dealings as the club is said to be interested in several star names such as Axel Witsel, William Carvalho and Juan Mata.
