Everton are considering the possibility of taking Manchester United winger Memphis Depay on loan in January, according to a report from Greg O’Keefe of the Liverpool Echo.
Ronald Koeman will be in attendance to watch Depay play for the Netherlands in their friendly match against Belgium and is a big fan of the 22-year-old.
He actually tried to sign Depay from PSV when he was the Southampton manager but was unable to get a deal done and the winger eventually ended up moving to United for around £25million.
United seem happy to let him go out on loan but they would probably prefer for him to go abroad rather than to a Premier League rival, especially as it looks like they’ll be battling the Blues in the 5th-8th range of the league this year.
Everton have a long history of making loan moves to help give the squad a boost in January and often, like in the cases of Aaron Lennon and Gerard Deulofeu, moves can often become permanent.
