Having already lost Seamus Coleman for the rest of the season, and probably longer, during the international break, reports in Argentina suggest that the Blues will also be with out Ramiro Funes Mori for the remainder of the campaign.
As reported by La Nacion, Funes Mori will undergo surgery on Tuesday after injuring his knee playing for Argentina against Bolivia on Tuesday evening.
It was originally thought that the defender would only be out for a few weeks after an initial diagnosis of a meniscus tear but it appears that the injury is more serious than first thought and that the 26-year-old will need to go under the knife.
