Koeman gives Barkley deadline to sign new deal

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has given midfielder Ross Barkley a clear message about his future.

The Express reports that Koeman has told the England international to either sign a new deal at Goodison Park or expect to be sold.

Koeman has pinpointed Everton’s final game of the season against Arsenal as a deadline for Barkley. The player’s future remains up in the air with the player yet to commit to the club.

Everton have put a new £100,000 a week deal on the table for Barkley, but the midfielder, who is thought to be attracting interest from Manchester United and Tottenham, is yet to pen to paper.

Barkley’s current deal at Goodison Park expires at the end of next season, but the Toffees are unlikely to risk losing the player for nothing.

Tottenham have been admirers of Barkley for some time and reportedly tried to sign the player both during the summer and January transfer window.
