Everton are set to offer West Brom target Gareth Barry a new contract at Goodison Park, according to a report from the Mail Online.
Barry has been linked away from Everton this transfer window with West Brom reportedly offering the English veteran a two-year-deal at the Hawthorns.
The new contract offered by The Toffees is a one-year extension on his current deal at the club, which would keep him there until the end of the 2018/19 season, meaning he would be likely to retire at Everton.
With midfielders Ross Barkley and James McCarthy set to leave this summer, they want to keep Gareth Barry to sure up the squad, despite being very busy in the transfer market.

Everton have brought in a number of players already this summer, most of which are very young, such as Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Henry Onyekuru and Sandro Ramirez.
Barry would be a great figure to help the new young players settle into the club and he can also help the developing youngsters such as Tom Davies and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
