Swansea captain Leon Britton believes that Gylfi Sigurdsson is likely to leave the Welsh side for Everton this summer, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.
Sigurdsson has been heavily linked with a move away from Swansea after a great season for the relegation threatened side last campaign with Everton and Leicester among those being linked.
Everton are the club that looks likely to acquire the Icelandic international’s services for the 2017/18 season and he will be added to an impressive list of players that Everton have signed this summer.
Wayne Rooney, Davy Klaassen, Sandro Ramirez and Henry Onyekuru have all joined the club this summer and Sigurdsson is expected to be the next name added to the list.

Everton will embark on a Europa League campaign in the upcoming season, meaning squad depth is needed. Sigurdsson is also being brought in as a replacement for Ross Barkley, who looks likely to leave this summer.
Swansea captain, Britton, said this to BBC Radio 5 Live.
His stats last year in terms of assists and goals, you’d think he be playing for one of the club in the top half of the table. He’s a big influence in the top end of the pitch for us, but unfortunately the club we’re at, Swansea, when the bigger teams come calling it is hard to keep him. If he does go, it’s vitally important that we replace him with the same quality, as much as we can.
