It was a rollercoaster of emotions on Saturday, as the starting XI slumped to the same-old same-old, and the fans were once again (and rightly so) on the back of the team and the manager. Koeman made changes and the three subs that came on changed the game entirely as we switched to a different system. Regardless of the eventual win, questions need to be answered by Koeman as the victory did nothing to increase his shaky at best support.
So, with Oumar Niasse unavailable for selection (another oversight by Mr. Koeman) and our ‘big name’ signings proving to be absolute flops thus far, who’s playing? Ironically enough, it’s the players that David Unsworth has nurtured, such as Tom Davies, Jonjoe Kenny, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Ademola Lookman and Niasse that will prove to be key for our ambitions this season. As you can imagine, not many of the ‘first team’ attack will have a spot in My XI.
So, here it is.
