Everton caretaker boss David Unsworth reveals that he knows that the Toffees need to get back to “winning ways” if he is to have any chance to land the permanent manager’s role at Goodison Park, according to a report on the Liverpool Echo.
Unsworth has already taken charge of two games, both ended in losses to Chelsea and Leicester City respectively.

The stand-in boss understands that the next Premier League game is like a “cup final” for the club and wants the players to adopt that same mentality.
He said:
Sunday’s a cup final for me and I think we’ve got to play it like a cup final, I certainly want the players to play it like a cup final.
The Merseyside club have had a nightmare start to the season and sit in the bottom three of the Premier League table with just two wins from ten matches.
Some fans are genuinely concerned about relegation, which is incredible as many had tipped the Toffees to push for a top four spot.
But with ex-manager Ronald Koeman’s new signings not having an immediate impact on the pitch, the team have struggled.
Failing to replace goal-machine Romelu Lukaku has also played a huge part in the drop of Everton, with veteran Wayne Rooney leading the scoring chart with five this season.
Everton face high-flying Watford on Sunday and even a draw in that game would probably not be enough at the moment.
