Everton are apparently keen to rival West Ham in their pursuit of RSC Anderlecht star Leander Dendoncker.
The young Belgian has been in superb form over the last 18 months and has established himself as one of Anderlecht’s best players. He has proven himself to be an impressive midfielder and, more recently, a capable central defender.
West Ham have been keeping tabs on the player for some time now but according to reports in Belgian, as claimed by talkSPORT, the Toffees want to pip David Moyes’ side to Dendoncker’s signature.

Chiefs at Anderlecht have never shied from the fact that Dendoncker will one day move on to a top league in Europe and the report from talkSPORT indicates that the Belgian giants may be willing to part company with the 22-year-old for a sum in the region of £20 million.
Manchester United have previously scouted Dendoncker and are said to have been impressed. Everton will be keen to lure him away from Anderlecht, if reports are to be believed, but will face stern competition from elsewhere.
