According to Sky Sports, Everton are interested in signing Patrice Evra, but the Frenchman appears to be West Ham-bound.

The ex-Juventus defender is a free agent following his release from Ligue 1 club Marseille back in November last year. Evra was given a seven-month ban from UEFA following an altercation with a supporter pre-match, which led to Evra kicking him.

Everton have been in the market for a left-sided defender and with the club having failed to recruit one in January, it seems Evra is a target for Sam Allardyce.
Eliaquim Mangala was signed on loan but he is far better suited in central defence. Cuco Martina, naturally a right-back, has been filling in on the left in Leighton Baines’ absence.
However, a move to Evra appears to be hugely doubtful now, with the 36-year-old keen to arrive in London.
