Everton are reportedly ready to take advantage of Jack Wilshere’s contract negotiations taking longer than expected by making a move for the England midfielder, according to The Daily Mail.
Negotiations between Arsenal and Wilshere over a contract extension began in December but there has been no conclusion to this saga at this stage.
It is believed that Arsenal want to make Wilshere take a pay cut, which the player isn’t keen on, although he does wish to stay at the club.
Everton are said to be willing to offer £80,000 per week to Wilshere in order to tempt him into a move to Merseyside.

With the main contract-related stories at Arsenal focusing on Alexis Sanchez, who left for Manchester United, and Mesut Ozil who has since signed an extension at the Emirates, Wilshere has gone under the radar and he will become a free agent in the summer if he doesn’t sign a new deal at Arsenal, leaving Everton free to make a move.
It is believed that Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan are also keen on Wilshere, but he wishes to stay in England.
