Everton’s new stadium will include a stand built in the style of Borussia Dortmund’s “Yellow Wall”, according to architect Dan Meis.
The Founder and Managing Principle at MEIS, the company have been contracted by the club to design their new arena, to be loacted at the Bramley-Moore Dock.
Meis was speaking at a series of fan workshops held for Everton fans, where they could get a flavour of what the successor to Goodison Park may look and feel like.

With regards to the home end of the stadium, Meis had this to say:
We’re planning on creating a very large home end in the south stand of the stadium which should be similar to Dortmund’s ‘Yellow Wall.
Depending on the final stadium capacity, the stand will hold 12,000-15,000 fans and we also want to include a concourse that will look back at the city, immediately by the home end that would be very cool.
Meis appears to have had the passion Everton fans hold for their club communicated to him, going as far to call it “infectious”.
Playing at Goodison since 1892, and the architect has also iterated the importance of incorporating key features of the old ground in the new one, such as a heavy use of brick and wood.
