Anderlecht have confirmed that Everton winger Henry Onyekuru will not rejoin them on another loan deal next season.
The Nigerian, signed from Eupen for £7million last summer, was instantly loaned to the Belgian champions last season where he enjoyed a successful first half of the season before injury struck, scoring nine goals in the process.
Speaking to Het Nieuwsblad, Anderlecht sporting director Luc Devroe explained that Onyekuru will either spend next season with Everton or with another club on loan.
It is not yet known whether Everton will be able to include Onyekuru in their first-team plans next season as he still awaits results on a work permit application, but Borussia Monchengladbach and Besiktas both want to loan the 20-year old if he cannot link up with his parent club. On Onyekuru, Devroe said;
Onyekuru will not stay, but the Markovic story is not over yet [Referring to Liverpool’s Lazar Markovic]. He could physically only play one in two matches, but for the right price he remains interesting.
