Plattenhardt starred at left-back in the Bundesliga last season and secured his place in the German squad for the World Cup this summer.

The fullback started Germany’s opening game in Russia, as they were beaten 1-0 by Mexico.
Everton are hoping to strengthen a number of areas this summer, with Plattenhardt possibly the first of many new arrivals.
The report does, however, claim that Leicester will rival Everton for the German international.
Leicester have already beaten Everton to one signing this summer, as they look set to announce the signing of James Maddison from Championship side Norwich for £24m.
