Tottenham have turned down the chance to sign Everton and Bournemouth target Joao Mario in a swap deal from Inter.
Calcio Mercato reports that Inter are ready to cash in on the Portuguese international as they look to reshape their midfield.
The Serie A side are pursuing a deal to sign Moussa Dembele from Spurs and they offered Mario in return to sweeten the deal, but Mauricio Pochettino’s men were not interested in signing the player.
Mario, who spent last season on loan at West Ham, is attracting interest from both Everton and Bournemouth.
Inter reportedly value the player at close to €30 million, but the midfielder could end up leaving on loan once again.
The report claims that there have not been any official offers lodged for the Portuguese midfielder, but they are expecting any deals to develop imminently.
Mario endured a mixed season on loan at West Ham, where he impressed in spells but failed to fulfil his potential.
