Everton are reportedly readying an offer of €16million for Barcelona left-back Lucas Digne, as their pursuit of Leighton Baines’ heir apparent heats up with the transfer window in it’s final few weeks.
The Toffees have been linked with a whole host of left-sided defenders since January, with the club desperate to replenish a depleted depth of talent in that position.
Barcelona’s Lucas Digne, who signed for the Catalan club in 2016 from Paris Saint-Germain, looks to be Everton’s primary target at the moment, with the club having previously pulled out of deal for Celtic’s Kieran Tierney after the Hoops slapped a £25million price tag on their prized asset.

Now Mundo Deportivo are claiming that the club are ready to offer a fee similar to what Barcelona paid for the 24-year old France international two years ago.
Digne has struggled for consistent game time at the Nou Camp, with Jordi Alba the preferred option at left-back.
Everton will be hoping that an offer of more consistent football can lure Digne to Goodison Park, with Bayern Munich and Juventus previously said to also be interested.
